Transfers outside the European Union
Vercel and Substack are based in the United States. Vercel takes part in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Substack covers these transfers with the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Cookies
Fleaven sets no audience measurement or advertising cookies, so no consent banner is needed. Fonts are hosted on the website itself, without calling any third-party service. The interactive maps in the "Shopping in Japan" guide load their background from OpenFreeMap, which sets no cookies. The "Open in Google Maps" links only contact Google if you click them. When you click through to another website (Buyee or Substack, for example), that website may set its own cookies, under its own policy.
Your rights
You can access your data, have it corrected or erased, object to its use, restrict its use or get a copy of it. To unsubscribe from the newsletter, use the link at the bottom of every email. For any other request, write to contact@fleaven.com: we reply within one month.
If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can file a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority.
